PV Groups
What:
- Group pole vector control and IK effector
- Pivot located at the knee/elbow
- Control for foot/hand parented to group
- Move and rotate group for elbow / knee led motions
For:
- Crawling, kneeling, or ground contact at knee
- Movement from elbow / knee, eg fighting
Pros:
- Consistent knee placement in world
Con:
- Poorly suited for regular movement animations
Refinement:
- Don't animate control group position directly
- Point-constrain group to single-link IK
- Use IK effector to animate position
- Prevents wrist/ankle from “floating�
