Ground Shadow Rig
What:
- Shadow control located at ground level
- Represents movement through space
- Usually translates on ground plane
- Usually rotates in yaw only
- Local offset control child of shadow
- Represents offset movements, eg hip bounce
- Skeleton root* parented to offset
For:
- Movement animations (walk, etc)
Pro:
- Good key scope
- Scope for body-space IK
Con:
- Poor ballistics
- Ground shadow & body controls overlap
